Port Union Seniors are a lively and industrious group who enjoy sharing their skills and talents with their community, and who come together regularly at Port Union Community Centre to while away a few companionable hours and also for special fun events throughout the year.
Newcomers are invited to come into the centre, talk to folks and learn how they might enhance their own older adult years through participation in a wide variety of social activities.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, a global observance to raise awareness about diabetes. It culminates on World Diabetes Day, November 14, which marks the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, a co-discoverer of insulin.
